RUBY LENNOX - ALGORITHMIC OPEN DESIGN
DATA GENERATION
THE DATA USED AS THE INPUT FOR THE ALGORITHMS IS GENERATED FROM MOVEMENTS OF THE BASE GARMENTS. TO PREPARE THE GARMENT, ADD A FRAME PATTERN OUTLINE TO IT IN SOME WAY THAT CONTRASTS WITH THE FABRIC - MASKING TAPE USED IN EXAMPLES. FILM THE MOVEMENT YOU HAVE CHOSEN - IN ALL EXAMPLES SHOWN HERE IT IS PUTTING ON AND TAKING OFF - AND BREAK THIS DOWN TO 30 FRAMES
LINE UP THE FRAMES IN ORDER AND OVERLAY THE STAVE TEMPLATE - A STAVE OF 7 LINES. NOTE ALL THE POINTS THAT THE FRAME CROSSES ONE OF THE LINES OF THE STAVE. BREAK THE STAVE WITH NOTED REFERENCE POINTS INTO BARS OF 2 PHOTOS. EACH BAR IS ASSIGNED TO ONE PIECE AND THE STAVE LINES TO THE 7 STEPS OF THE ALGORITHMS. BAR 2 WITH 3 POINTS ON LINE 4 MEANS FOR PIECE 2, STEP 4, X = 3
